Au Feminin:

Zonta x Galerie Joaquin

From October 9-12, 2025, Zonta Makati and Environs, the local Manila club of Zonta International, held a charity art exhibition in tandem with Galerie Joaquin, a powerhouse in the local art scene of the Philippines, for a new fundraising initiative that would help fund the future of women in the arts.

Besides Galerie Joaquin, the exhibition was supported by Handelaar Corp's YWE, Joel's Place, and Rockwell Land. By positioning the exhibition as a resource-generating endeavor, it establishes a vital link between cultural production and social support.

In assembling its roster, Au Féminin also acknowledges the contributions of major artists who have long been central to the local modernist and contemporary art scene, including Juvenal Sansó, Katrina Cuenca, James Gabito, Jo Balbarona, RV Basco, Marge Organo, and Jerry Morada, alongside many others. Their participation reinforces the exhibition's role in uniting diverse practices under a shared vision of creativity, advocacy, and cultural vitality.

Zonta is a global organization of executives and professionals working together to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy, and proceeds from the event will help fund ZCME's women empowerment projects, most significantly an art residency program that provides emerging women artists with mentorship, professional development, and the critical space needed to advance their careers.

Introduction

Under the leadership of our Director, Cyan, Great Social Club executed comprehensive event management across multiple critical areas. Our team orchestrated end-to-end event planning and execution, managing timelines, vendor relationships, and on-site operations to ensure seamless delivery. She coordinated cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align event objectives with organizational goals and brand standards, while developing detailed run-of-show documents and contingency plans to anticipate and mitigate potential challenges.

The team’s logistics management encompassed transportation coordination, accommodation arrangements, and equipment procurement. This involved negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers to optimize budget allocation while maintaining quality standards, and coordinating technical requirements, including audiovisual setup, staging, lighting, and connectivity infrastructure.

Aside from that, the team was required to oversee VIP and diplomatic guest services. While also providing support for high-level attendees, including diplomats, government officials, and distinguished guests, it ensures protocol compliance and exceptional hospitality.

Cyan and the team served as the primary liaisons between VIP guests and event staff, addressing needs and resolving issues with discretion and professionalism.
GSC also developed and executed media outreach strategies to maximize event visibility and secure coverage across relevant outlets.

This included crafting press releases, media advisories, and press kits to effectively communicate key messages and event highlights, while coordinating press conference logistics, media interviews, and journalist accreditation processes. cultivated relationships with media contacts and monitored press coverage to assess reach and sentiment.
Additionally, We oversaw attendee registration, communications, and experience touchpoints from pre-event engagement through post-event follow-up.

GREAT SOCIAL CLUB'S ROLE

At the core of the exhibition is the recognition that while women's voices have long been marginalized in the historical canon, they remain essential to a comprehensive understanding of contemporary art. Au Féminin brings together artists whose practices resonate with themes of resilience, solidarity, and care.

Through this lens, Au Féminin reads as a curatorial gesture that is both celebratory and strategic: celebratory in affirming the creative achievements that expand the cultural landscape, and strategic in directing resources toward systems of support that enable women's artistic practices to thrive.
